The Online Portfolio
Are you an actor, musician, artist, photographer, writer/copywriter, or filmmaker looking to get your stuff online? Learn how to create a sleek website from scratch that showcases your work and leverages the latest social tools. No experience or coding necessary! Our hands on workshop walks you through the process from start to finish: buying a domain and hosting (around $6 per month!), installing a content management framework (for the techies out there, we’re using WordPress), uploading and displaying your work, optimizing your site for search engines, and lots of tips and tricks along the way. You don’t have to pay someone to build a website for you, you can do it yourself!
An online portfolio can help:
- Effectively showcase your work
- Control and define your online presence/brand
- Demonstrate your technological prowess and communication skills
- Land more clients and get a leg up on competition
You will come away from the workshop with:
- The basic framework of a working, good-looking website
- The skills and knowledge you need to maintain and update your site with content
- Access to all workshop materials via our website
- Access to the workshop’s instructors for questions after the class (don’t worry, we won’t abandon you!)
$75 for a 2 hour workshop.
